I really love documentaries and have always been interested in the super natural….myquestion is, is there any good documentaries or books or websites that I could check out?
Thanks!
There’s one short documentary called the "Ghosts of the London Underground" or something like that. It’s on Youtube and documents people’s encounters with ghosts in the London subway system. I haven’t seen this in a while but it is professionally made without cheap scares.
I don’ know how credible it is, but there’s a series of documentary/Ghost Hunter-like movies made by the Booth Brothers under the SpookedTV series. I saw one and the evidence was pretty neat.
"Paranormal Activity" is a movie. Don’t confuse it with the real people going out there to investigate. For movies, there is a pretty good one called "Noroi" if you’re into documentary-like movies.
TV shows are TV shows. I like Ghost Adventures and Destination Truth because they explore foreign places. Some stuff you gotta disregard because it’s television and ratings do matter.
For books, I think the stuff by Ed/Lorraine Warren should be considered. Hans Holzer is another good author with many books. I recently read The Dark Sacrament, which is about real exorcism cases in Ireland.
For online sites, try paranormal.about.com, ghostvillage, shadowlands (to check for local haunts mainly). There’s tons of sites but stick to ones that look professional enough.
Edit: Oops, forgot to mention this: if you go on Hulu, there’s a channel called "Paranormal TV" I believe. Some neat documentaries there. If you can find it, there’s this old TV series called "ghost stories" hosted by an old man.
